EVALUATION PRINCIPLES

How We Evaluate Game Compatibility

FrameScope compares your hardware specifications against publisher-verified minimum and recommended thresholds to identify exactly which components meet the target and where bottlenecks may arise.

1. Official Publisher Baselines

We map publisher-specified GPU and CPU baselines into standardized performance classes. RAM capacity, VRAM thresholds, and SSD requirements are checked independently so faster cores never mask memory limitations.

2. Cross-Generation Hardware Mapping

Hardware spanning a decade of NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel architectures is categorized into four distinct performance tiers: Below Minimum, Meets Minimum, Meets Recommended, and Exceeds Recommended.

3. The Role of Benchmark Observations

Verified benchmark observations provide additional context for specific resolutions, driver updates, and laptop TGP variance. Where benchmarks are unavailable, official publisher baselines remain the authoritative source.

4. Zero Fabricated FPS Guesswork

We refuse to publish simulated or synthetic framerate numbers when publishers do not specify exact test parameters. True gaming performance depends on in-game settings, thermals, and background processes.
